Nasacort is a steroid. It prevents the bodily substance which causes inflammation from being released, and treats nasal symptoms and other seasonal reactions.
How to use this product
Before usages, shake the spray well. It is recommended to spray the first doses into the air to gain neath ?shower?.
Initial dosage is for adults and children over the age of 12; 2 spray dosage in each nostril 1 time daily. When the symptom has stabilised, the dosage can be reduced to 1 spray dosage in each nostril daily.
Children from the age of 6 to 12 years of age; 1 spray dosage, in each nostril daily.Nasacort comes in the form of a nasal spray. If you miss a dose, wait until next dose is due then continue as usual. DO NOT take a double dose.
Side effects
Some side effects caused by Nasacort medication are sneezing, nasal burning, nose bleeds, nasal yeast infection, throat irritation, perforated septum, eye irritation or uncomfortable pressure, nausea, headaches, cough, fever, congestion and ear irritation.
Serious but uncommon side effects include breathing difficulties and facial swelling. If these occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
Precautions
While taking Nasacort, avoid activities which could possibly cause allergic reactions. Also, the immune system may weaken during treatment, so avoid sources of infection such as chicken pox, measles of any other infection. Children under the age of 6, is not recommended to use Nasacort.
Drug Interactions
The use of any other oral or inhaled steroids may cause overdose of serious symptoms. Other drugs may interact with Nasacort medication, so inform your doctor.
