Clomiphene Citra is a medication used as a fertility aid for women where ovulation does not occur in a normal manner. Clomiphene Citra works by causing ovulation to occur.
How to use this product
The recommended starting dose of clomiphene is 50 mg daily for five days. It may be started at any time by a woman who has had no recent uterine bleeding. If bleeding occurs prior to therapy, clomiphene should be started on day 5 of the cycle.
If ovulation does not occur in the first cycle after using the medication, a dose of 100 mg daily for five days can be used for the next cycle, but no sooner than 1 month after the first threatment.
Side effects
Side effects noticed by some women are: hot flashes. Less common are:
breast discomfort, headache,
heavy menstrual periods or bleeding between periods, depressions, nausea, nervousness,
ovarian enlargement, restlessness, tiredness and
trouble sleeping.
Precautions
Do not use clomiphene if you have:
a liver disease or reduced liver function,
abnormal vaginal bleeding of unknown cause,
hormone dependent tumours or ovarian cysts, or if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Clomiphene Citra.
If you experience side effects other than those listed, always consult your physician.
There is an increased chance of ectopic pregnancy or multiple pregnancy in women following clomiphene therapy.
Drug Interactions
Tell your physician about all medications or supplements that you are taking, as they may change the effect of clomiphene.
