Claritin is an antihistamine used for adults and children over the age of 12. It aids in relieving nasal discharge, sneezing, congestion, itching, irritation of the eyes and skin irritation such as hives
Claritin dose not give you doziness.
How to use this product
Initial dosage for adults and children over 30kg are 10mg (1 tablet), in 24 hours. Children over the age of 2 years old or a bodyweight of under 30kg can be given 5mg (? tablet) in 24 hours.
If a dose is missed, skip it and take the next dose normally. Never take a double dose. The medication must be stored at room temperature, in a dry place. Take each tablet immediately after removing from casing.
The tables should be swallowed as in whole or chewed.
Side effects
Common side effects include headaches and dryness of the mouth. Less common side effects are dizziness and sleeping problems.
Precautions
Medication can cause chronic fatigue in patients with liver malfunction. Shouls not be taken be children under the age of 2 years.
Drug Interactions
Harmful interactions may occur with the following:
cimetidine, ketoconazole,
erythromycin
The effect of Claritin will not be changed with other medications, food or alcohol.
