Aerius is an antihistamine. Histamine is a chemical produced by the body during allergic reaction, and Aerius prevents the action of the histamine throughout the body. It relieves symptoms of hay fever, including nasal discharge, sneezing, itching, congestion, coughing, hives and irritation of the eyes
How to use this product
The recommended dose of Aerius medication for users 12 years and above is 5mg once per day. It may be taken with or without food. If a dose is missed, skip it until it is time for the next one, then continue as normal. Never take a double dose.
Side effects
Some less common side effects of taking Aerius medication are fatigue, dry mouth and headache.
Precautions
Aerius is not suggested to be taken by people sensitive to desloratadine or loratadine.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid using Aerius.
